Race & Ethnicity, Part I

november 30, 2018

Resources

In this review, we’ll define race, ethnicity, and nationality as we discuss the geographic distribution of ethnic groups both in the US and abroad. These distributions are sometimes done intentionally because of policies such as segregation, which we’ll look at in the US and South Africa. In both of these places, a history of segregation continues to affect institutions of education, government, housing, and justice. We’ll also take a look at ethnic conflicts that have rised around the world because of and within borders.
