The Dutch Golden Age saw a boom in artistic genres and styles. Painters mastered history, portraits, landscapes, and still lifes. Each genre had its own unique characteristics and , reflecting the values and interests of Dutch society.

From grand historical scenes to intimate domestic moments, Dutch art captured life in all its forms. Artists like Rembrandt and Vermeer became masters of light and emotion, while others specialized in seascapes or flower paintings, showcasing the nation's maritime power and horticultural passion.
