The Jewish homeland refers to the geographical region in Palestine, which emerged as a focal point for Jewish nationalism and the desire for a sovereign state for Jews, particularly during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This movement, known as Zionism, gained momentum during the interwar period as Jews sought refuge from rising anti-Semitism in Europe and aimed to establish a nation where they could exercise self-determination.
