Traditional Church Doctrines refer to the established beliefs and teachings of the Christian Church, particularly those held by the Catholic Church, which have been upheld for centuries. These doctrines include fundamental concepts such as the authority of Scripture, the role of sacraments, and the significance of church tradition, all of which provided a framework for understanding the world prior to the Scientific Revolution. As thinkers began to question these doctrines during the Age of Enlightenment and Scientific Revolution, they sparked a shift in how people perceived knowledge and authority.
