Malthusian theorists

Definition

Malthusian theorists follow Thomas Malthus' ideas from his famous 1798 essay "An Essay on the Principle of Population." They believe that population growth will eventually outstrip agricultural production, leading to poverty, famine, and societal collapse if left unchecked.
