Definition

Security refers to the protection of a nation's sovereignty, citizens' safety, infrastructure, resources from threats such as terrorism, illegal activities (such as drug trafficking), espionage or invasion. It encompasses both physical security (border control) and non-physical aspects (cybersecurity).
