Sensory receptors are specialized cells in our sensory organs that detect and respond to specific types of stimuli, such as light, sound, or pressure.
Perception: The process by which we interpret and make sense of the sensations detected by our sensory receptors.
Transduction: The conversion of physical energy from stimuli into neural signals that can be interpreted by the brain.
Adaptation: A decrease in sensitivity to a constant or repetitive stimulus over time.
