Ibn Khaldun was a 14th-century Arab historian and scholar who is often regarded as the founder of historiography, the study of historical writing. His most famous work is "Muqaddimah" (Introduction to History), where he introduced concepts such as social cohesion, cyclical patterns in history, and the role of geography in shaping societies.
