Definition

Iran's Green Movement was a mass protest movement that emerged after Iran's disputed presidential election in 2009. Supporters believed that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had rigged the election results, leading to widespread opposition and demands for political reform, transparency, and greater civil liberties.
