Definition

Revolutionary movements refer to large-scale uprisings and rebellions aimed at overthrowing colonial rule and establishing independent governments in Latin America during the early nineteenth century. These movements sought to challenge the authority of European powers and create new political systems based on principles such as equality, nationalism, and self-determination.
