The Ancestral Pueblo people were Native American tribes who lived in the southwestern United States (present-day New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado) around 1 AD to 1300 AD. They built elaborate multi-story dwellings called cliff dwellings using sandstone bricks known as adobe.
