Definition

Benito Mussolini was an Italian political leader who became the fascist dictator of Italy from 1925 to 1943. He centralized all power in himself as the leader (Il Duce) or "The Leader" of the Fascist party and attempted to create an Italian empire, ultimately leading Italy into World War II.
