Post-Reconstruction Era

Definition

The post-Reconstruction era refers to the period of time in American history immediately following the Reconstruction era, which lasted from around 1877 to the mid-1890s. It was marked by political and social changes as well as the rise of segregation and discrimination against African Americans.
