Definition

Political socialization is the process by which individuals learn and internalize the values, beliefs, and norms regarding political life and the political system from their surroundings, shaping their political attitudes and behaviors. It occurs throughout one’s life, starting in childhood, through various agents such as family, education systems, peer groups, media, and significant events.
