AP Human Geography
Unit 2 – Population and Migration
Topic 2.8
How does political participation vary for women between developed and developing nations?
Women have equal political participation irrespective of whether they live in a developed or a developing nation.
Women from both types of societies are denied political participation at all levels.
In developed nations, women have active roles, including voting rights, whereas in many developing nations, their political rights are restricted or non-existent.
Developing nations provide more opportunities for female political participation than developed ones do.
