In this stream, Caroline taught the most common elements, including the importance of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and phosphorus, that make up the building blocks of life. Caroline went over why each of these elements is so importance as well as bonding patterns that allow the element to possess specific qualities necessary for maintaining the qualities of life. This cast serves as a preview to the importance of macromolecules in the week to follow.
