Sustainability is an important concept for identifying and proposing solutions to environmental problems. We discussed global indicators of sustainability, sustainable approaches to the land use themes in unit 5 and defined the concept of ecological footprint to analyze how cultural, social, and economic factors can magnify environmental impacts.
