🌶 Unit 4a - Political Maps, Territories, and Boundaries

The political organization of states is affected by global forces of nationalism, supranationalism, and past events that have changed the borders. For example, after WWI and WWII, the map of Europe changed dramatically as old empires broke up and new states were created. Political forces also affect local boundaries for voting districts and governmental resources.
