Golden Horde: The Golden Horde was one of four major khanates (regional divisions) established after Genghis Khan's death. It controlled large parts of Eastern Europe and played a significant role in both furthering fragmentation within the empire and interacting with other European powers.
Ilkhanate: The Ilkhanate was another khanate that emerged after the Mongol Empire fragmented. It encompassed much of what is now Iran, Iraq, and parts of Anatolia. The political dynamics within the Ilkhanate contributed to the overall disintegration of the empire.
Timurid Empire: The Timurid Empire arose in Central Asia during the 14th and 15th centuries. Although not directly connected to the Mongol Empire, it was influenced by its collapse and sought to revive some aspects of Mongol culture. Its rise further weakened any remaining unity among former Mongol territories.
