Culture includes visible and invisible behaviors, actions, beliefs, and objects that a society cares about deeply. In terms of human geography, the most important concept of culture is spatial context, or the why of where. In this review, we’ll discuss the implications of cultural appropriation, the specific traits of folk and popular culture, and the three types of cultural diffusion including relocation and expansion using illustrative examples from across the world.
